30 Aug 2005 - New business model and broadband product proposed for operators
Staselog Ltd proposes that broadband operators should support services based
on P2P technology instead of reducing P2P traffic. This approach grants
access to a whole new consumer market which will vastly grow during the next
5 years. The operators would be able to sell more sophisticated service
instead of low-priced technical broadband connections. This requires new
type of broadband subscriptions and billing methods that can be implemented
using Staselog's technology. The new type of broadband subscription is
superior in comparison to the old ones and it addresses the needs of the
emerging interactive multimedia applications. The main features include very
fast connection rates, guaranteed bandwidth for all users, unlimited P2P
traffic, customized subscriptions for all subscribers. The monthly entry
price for subscriptions can be very low in combination with optional service
charges.
