01 Apr 2008 - IP-based provisioning Version 2.0 in use
Atostek Ltd has released Version 2.0 for the IP-based broadband
provisioning system and it's currently in customer's use.
The system includes a central control software and several
Staselog Network Equalizer (SNE) units. The control software
connects to the SNE units and to the other parts of operator's
system, such as billing application and DHCP servers.
The IP-based provisioning approach enables centralized
provisioning in all access networks independent from their
technology.
The connection from the operator to the subscriber may remain
open at all times, enabling on-line subscription of
services provided by the operator. The brodband connection to
the internet is one of the possibly available services.
The Version 2.0 includes new features which improve provisioning
for companies and it also allows hierarchical bandwidth allocation.
